I would like to thank the following for their support, most of them for many, many years...
Barry Moorehouse for his constant support and friendship for all of my professional career. I’ve always used elites strings, from the early days in Wapping when I and my friend Steve Pearce used to go to the bass centre and spoil Barry’s days by dragging him to the pub round the corner, just for one, pint!! I brought the first 2 Yamaha 5 strings one black one white. The first status they had, a sunburst headless. The first Ken Smith 6 string and 6 string Fodera. I loved that shop. Thanks Baz xx
Hans Peter at Warwick, the loveliest of men and such a lovely family. I spent a day at Warwick while I was touring with Yusuf. Those basses are beautifully made. Unfortunately I couldn’t get on with them but they understood and let me have a fantastic rig which I still have.
Aguilar are a brilliant company and let me have setup that was so light, yet soooo powerful I can always be comfortable on any gig. To my shame I’ve never managed to get to the yearly get together when they come over. Thankfully Dave Swift kindly makes my apologies. I’ll get there one year.
Overwater, where to start, Chris May simply makes incredible instruments. All in that fantastic workshop care so much about what they do. I love going there, even if it’s miles away! It’s well worth the trip if you’re invited. They’re basses are my most used instruments and they made me a JP setup for strictly.
Roland/boss have also been very helpful, thank you.
